Things are not as they appear to be... [Jan. 9th, 2006|01:14 pm]
Professor Minerva McGonagall
[mood |pleasedpleased]

Ha! Neither Ministry of Magic officials nor anyone supporting the Dark Lord can read this entry, or many of the others I will be making. I discussed the issue of the MOM requirement that I not use a Concealment spell on my entries with Professor Flitwick earlier today. I explained to him that I see that this could be a useful place to keep a record of my thoughts and experiences, even those I would prefer not to share with MOM officials or others.

After our discussion, (and what a *charmer* that man is!), we came up with a special charm/spell combination that will protect my entries from prying eyes without a Concealment spell or the use of Muggle filters. When an unwelcome reader comes along, the entry content simply appears to be something innocuous. Only a person I wouldn't mind sharing the entry with will see it as I actually wrote it.

Oh, how I love loopholes in rules sometimes! :)

The Walker Shortbread biscuits I ordered a week ago did not appear in today's owl post. My tartan biscuit tin is nearly empty! I do hope they show up soon, or I shall have to make do with biscuits from the kitchen. Not that the house elves don't make fine biscuits, but they are not the same as the Walker Shortbreads.

Malfoy sees you, dear

I agree, Minerva. Things are certainly not as they seem. As for Flitwick, I honestly believe he'd make a fine date for you since you could literally keep him in your back pocket and not risk him leaving your scope of iron-clad control. I shall look forward to hearing of your nuptuals very soon.

Oh by the way, I'm finding those Walker Shortbreads quite delicious. So easy to use the Imperius Curse on an owl if you know what you're doing.

I wish you a pleasant day.

Goodness, Lucius. I never thought I'd see you eating Walker Shortbreads. I suppose you've consumed the entire tin by now.

It doesn't bother *me* one whit of course, but they *are* Muggle-made.

It appears the joke's on you...really, it's worth it to wait for another box just to picture the look on your face when you realize you've been consuming Muggle food.

Enjoy the evening Lucius, I know I will.

Dear, the most horrified expression I have at my disposal could never compare, as far as pure asthetic poison, to the one you wear in your displayed picture. Really, you ought to find a more sanitary place to store your wand. What might your students think?
